Trump can’t actually cut taxes himself, but if Biden can promise debt relief that he can’t deliver, then I guess Trump can promise tax cuts.
Bill Clinton promised a middle-class tax cut when he was campaigning for President in 1992, and a lot of gullible people believed him. I wasn't one of them. I'd already moved on from the Democrat party many years before. Once Clinton became President-Elect, he claimed, he'd worked long, and hard trying to find a way to honor his promise of a tax cut, and instead, ushered in the largest Federal tax increase in the history of this country at that time...the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993.
