You're Not Supporting Ukraine Enough Until the Nuclear Blast Hits Your Face
Newsweek ^ | 9/14/2023 | Max Abrahms

Posted on 09/15/2023 2:36:30 PM PDT by Vlad0

What happened to Elon Musk this past week showcases how completely unhinged and dangerous U.S. policy to Ukraine has become.

The condemnation began when the Washington Post published excerpts from a new biography on Musk revealing that he turned down a Ukrainian request to help launch a major sneak attack in September 2022 on the Crimean port of Sevastopol.

There were numerous, legitimate reasons why Musk refused to activate his Starlink internet services for Ukraine to carry out the unprecedented, surprise attack on Russian naval vessels: Musk was providing terminals to Ukraine for free; he was not on a military contract at that time; the late-night request came directly from the Ukrainian—not American—government; and Starlink had never been activated over Crimea because of U.S. sanctions on Russia. Most importantly, Musk was concerned that enabling the attack could result in serious "conflict escalation."

He worried that he was being asked to turn on Starlink for a "Pearl Harbor like attack" and had no wish to "proactively take part in a major act of war," possibly provoking a Russian nuclear response.

The reality of the situation is beginning to become obvious to most thinking people. Even some in the MSM.

“The reality of the situation is beginning to become obvious to most thinking people. Even some in the MSM.”

Wow! And from Newsweek no less.

And the alternative is to cower in the face of “nuclear blackmail”.

Therein lies the problem. Where do you make your stand?

Sure, let him have his way, and that emboldens him for his next maneuver.

Nobody is particularly fond of Ukraine, but they want to fight as long as they can get armaments to defend themselves. I simply don’t want to pay for it.

Crappy situation all around.

Ukraine to carry out the unprecedented, surprise attack on Russian naval vessel

Hard to believe the author used these inappropriate and illogical words.

Ukraine and Russia are at war. An attack on the other belligerant's naval vessels is entirely appropriate. Surprise is expected in warfare. It is how you win.

Ukraine has previously launched successful surprise attacks on Russian Naval vessels.

The sentence shows the article to be mere propaganda.

The British attack on the Italian fleet at Taranto was unprecedented and a surprise, but perfectly acceptable for nations at war.

I’m guessing that the author’s choice of words was to put the comparison to the Pearl Harbor attack by the Japanese in the minds of his readers, who might not know (inexcusable, I know) that we weren’t at war with Japan when the attack occurred.

Who is benefitting from this perpetual war in Ukraine? China, the Democrats.

I thought Russia was winning? Why would they need to escalate if they are achieving all their goals? Isn’t Ukraine down to a few dozen troops?

You’re Not Supporting Ukraine Enough Until the Nuclear Blast Hits Your Face

[Wins “best column title” before I read the first sentence.]

This column in certain ways shows an entire new era in power dynamics.

Since this “no Starlink for you!” Crimea-attack-thwarted episode has been revealed, it appears that Musk has turned 100% of Starlink over to the DOD, lock and key.

Now it is coming out that the entire >>”Starlink means global internet access!”<< hype was just a cover for a DOD program that paid for every Falcon Starlink satellite launch. It wasn’t anticipated profits from Maasai tribesman getting connected to the WWW. {What? NO WAY!}
The DOD turns out to be the “single customer” for a unified Starlink system.

The rest is a “Glomar Explorer” Howard Hughes cover story.]

And then there's this...

The Corrupt Cronyism Never Ends: Biden names Penny Pritzker to lead U.S. in forging Ukraine’s economic recovery. Biden said Pritzker will work in ‘lockstep’ with the Ukraine government. Pritzker, a member of one the richest families in the nation, is the Sister of illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker...

I love the breeze on my face. Extra bonus if I get a tan. No one pro Ukraine or NATO ever thinks through this. Let’s destroy a country that has tons of nukes that has stated there is no reason to worry about the future with us dead or slaves to the west.

“””They just CLOSED the CHRISTIAN CHURCHES in KIEV, UKRAINE!!”””

You mean 74 churches tied to Russia are being closed, Christianity is doing just fine in Ukraine, with high church attendance.
