Thank you!

Patrick now piling on the House handling of the impeachment. Says if they had done their job the Senate wouldn’t have had to do all the work, because they couldn’t impeach with no evidence. Wants to change constitution.
Wow!

They SHOULD change the TX constitution. I don't know of any other state, and certainly not the federal government -- that "suspends" an elected official from office the instant the House votes to impeach. Doing so implies "the accused is Presumed Guilty until proven innocent in a court of law".

This is also the ONLY case of impeachment I know where the House voted overwhelmingly to impeach, but the Senate voted almost entirely along party lines for acquittal. Impeachments are usually lopsided in BOTH houses (if its obvious the accused did it and they want to get rid of him, like IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich being impeached 114-1, then convicted 59-0... and likewise, crooked federal judge Thomas Porteous was impeached unanimously by the House, then convicted 94–2 by the Senate and barred from future office), or they are sharply divided in BOTH houses (like all three Presidential impeachments being heavily split along party lines... the members of the President's party overwhelmingly opposed it, and the members of the opposition party overwhelmingly favored it)

Very curious how they got SO MANY TX House Republicans, even normally "stalwart anti-establishment conservatives" with impeccable records, to go along with this one and agree to ram thru an impeachment and throw Paxton under the bus on flimsy "charges"

Something VERY fishy about that.
