E-Buses Bought From Now-Bankrupt Manufacturer By Blue Enclave Are Now All Out Of Commission

A Democratic enclave in Wyoming purchased electric buses to reduce emissions, but the buses are indefinitely inoperable after their manufacturer went bankrupt earlier this summer, the Cowboy State Daily reported.

Jackson, Wyoming, and Teton County formed the Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) system, which bought eight electric buses from Proterra to add to its fleet of 31 diesel buses, the Cowboy State Daily reported. Proterra, which itself was at the center of a conflict of interest controversy including Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, went bankrupt in August, and START’s eight e-buses are now out of commission given that the manufacturer can no longer readily supply the parts needed for repairs.

“and START’s eight e-buses are now out of commission given that the manufacturer can no longer readily supply the parts needed for repairs.”

Weren’t there people here saying that EVs don’t break down? If so, why would they need replacement parts for ‘repairs’?

Actually, come to think of it, I haven’t seen those people lately, perhaps, given Ukraine and now this, they’ve gone dormant again?

They may be out looking for a replacement battery for their EV. One that doesn’t cost as much as the vehicle itself. Have a little heart (and think of the children!).

Great point, now that they’ve had their EV for a few years it’s time to find out how much a replacement battery costs, and look carefully into options.

Should take the cost of the buses out of the salaries of the commissioners or agency heads that purchased them.

EV scam, probably bought from a crony company.

Drove by that monstrosity and all the signage — NONE of it touts the train; it’s ALL about how many jobs the project has “created.”

Never mind, of course, that after I’m dead and the accursed thing is operational, NONE of those “created” jobs will exist, anymore.

At the time, it was painful and frustrating to watch the media blame all of this on Bush, and he wouldn't even defend himself.

I wish I knew then what I know now.

"How do they replace the battery on an electric bus?"

With a "New Bus".

It's "Government Money"...
