He wrote it as a lullaby for his child. I used part of it at my sister’s funeral.
“So be still, be still, for you know that I always will, tonight and forever, be watching over you.”
Most of her life she was tormented with booze and afraid of dying because she had done so many bad things that God couldn’t love her. Well, God found her in prison as she was in for a DUI. She never was able to fully kick the booze, but she knew that she was in God’s hands. Her last five years were such a huge, dramatic turn in her heart. Even during her last week on earth and in pain, she said “Well, I know that God loves me, and that He sent Jesus to free me from my sin and guilt, and that He is watching over me.
