For the sake of argument and Devil’s Advocacy, when considering Hamas, why are they termed terrorists. Why is not the force that invaded Israel and is shooting rockets not the Hamas military?
For instance, were the Viet Cong terrorists?
The Hamas are guerilla soldiers acting to achieve their own objectives while armed and directed by Iran.
Ages ago, the Crown of England armed and directed the Cherokee to attack the American settlers on the western edge of North Carolina and Virginia. Was Dragging Canoe a terrorist?
"One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."
But in this particular case, one has to choose sides.
Unfortunately for those who see Hamas as freedom fighters, Islam is not compatible with the civilized world because it is stuck in the 7th century (and not in the better parts of that ancient world, if any).
Bottom line, we have to choose whether we want to permit the butchery and insanity of 7th-century Islam to exist in our world or not.
I vote for "Not."
