A) Jeffries: There have been ongoing informal conversations that have been undertaken over the last few days. I think there's a possibility those can accelerate now that Jim Jordan clearly does not have the votes to be Speaker. For good reason.
B) Jeffries: are many good men and women on the Republican side of the aisle who are qualified to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives. There is no circumstance where Jim Jordan is one of them.

I hope the Republicans do elect a Democrat SOTH. Apparently, it is going to take something this dysfunctional to wake some people up to the reality that we no longer have a government of the people.
This is what happens in states that are hopelessly blue. Republicans let democrats pick their candidates.
Republicans should simply agree to disagree and to vote 100% for Jordan with a commitment to reassess in 30 days or something. Well, this process is always messy, and I personally don’t care if they take 100 votes to accomplish it, we’ve got a war underway in Israel that Congress needs to address, plus an open border, the corrupt, Biden administration, etc. They need to move on.

If that happens, the country is finished sooner than I thought. The globalists can buy off 20 Republicans with ease. They could be primaried, but will their be a country next year? We do have hundreds of thousands of terrorists gearing up to destroy the country while the FBI monitors school board meetings and investigates ropes.
It was obvious that someone worse than McCarthy was a very real possibility when Gaetz had his little hissy fit and forced McCarthy out without lining up votes for a more conservative successor. Obvious to everyone except Gaetz and some of his clueless supporters around here. We just have to hope that Jordan is able to cut enough deals to get the Speakership.

Jordan should have been installed yesterday. As Gaetz said, this will reveal the hearts and minds of Republicans. They say one thing to their constitutents and do something entirely different in the House.
It is hard for me to believe they could be so blatant. They must really, really be bought off lock, stock, and barrel.

I don't get this comment. Everyone there is elected and representing their districts. Yeah, we wouldn't vote for over half of them, but unfortunately these are who were elected. This goes all the way back to the botched "red wave". We seem to be the party of political suicide bombers. This is all at the feet of Trump, but that is JMHO. Call it 3-d chess I guess. Jefferies becomes Speaker? "Trust Trump's plan". Whatever, but no one appointed those in the House of Representatives, that is where we are with sentiment in the US and the mix seems about right to me of representation. We better get about the business of unity and persuasion instead of division.
I can totally believe that RINOs would work with the Rats to elect a RINO or Rat speaker.
Actually their mindset is to destroy the GOP and have one party rule like CA.
It's the "20" moderates who are crashing the GOP chances in the next election. Hope they leave the speakership vacant.

I've come to the point where I am not voting for RINO's any longer. If a candidate doesn't earn my vote, I undervote.
McCarthy gave up the debt ceiling and was trying to push a CR through and he didn't even take the bat off his shoulder. If they can't vote to stop deficit spending that HAS created ~$30T in debt since 2008 and return to normal order, why does it matter if they are a Republican or Democrat? They are no use to me.
You mean the Kevin McCarthy who said "Bring it on" because Nancy Pelosi told him she'd stand by him if they brought the motion to vacate, and then reneged on her promise when Gaetz finally did it?

The Uniparty has 3/3 under KM and will continue to have 3/3 unless Jordan or someone more conservative is Speaker.
