Evidence suggests some of the weapons used by Hamas in a bloody attack on southern Israel earlier this month likely came from North Korea.
While Pyongyang has repeatedly denied supplying the terrorist group with weapons, expert analysis along with a trove of evidence that includes video as well as munitions seized by Israel, suggests otherwise. At the heart of the controversy is the F-7 rocket-propelled grenade, a shoulder-fired weapon fighters typically use against armored vehicles.
An image published by Hamas after the Oct. 7 attack features members of the terrorist organization wielding a rocket-propelled grenade with a distinctive red stripe across its warhead, and other design elements matching the F-7, according to Matt Schroeder, a senior researcher with Small Arms Survey who wrote a guide to Pyongyang’s light weapons. Its especially useful for guerrilla forces in running skirmishes with heavy vehicles given its power and quick reload capabilities.
N.R. Jenzen-Jones, a weapons expert who works as the director of Armament Research Services, said the F-7 — which resembles a widely distributed Soviet-era RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenade — was also built to “offer a lethal effect against personnel.” He added that there have been documented uses of the weapon in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon as well as the Gaza Strip.
“Many North Korean weapons have been provided by Iran to militant groups, and this is believed to be the primary way by which Palestinian militants have come to possess North Korean weapons,” Jenzen-Jones said.

A lot of stuff belonging to the Gaza Water Utilities Co. was also used. Those pipes came in handy for blowing up parking lots.
Slightly off topic, but if Israelis are going after the Gaza tunnels, why aren’t they using the thermobaric devices that the US fired into those caves in Afghanistan?
Hostages
Oh... I was thinkig they would be held in an urban setting
If I were a hostage, I think I would support dropping nukes.
I’d be surprised if that *wasn’t* the case.
"Evidence shows Hamas militants likely used some North Korean weapons in attack
on Israel"
Probably right
I think the big news will be when we discover Hamas and other terror orgs using our abandoned hardware from Afghanistan. I don’t have confidence our media would report it.
North Korea to some other country other than Iran. Then loaded on some type of food supply vessel into Egypt. Then by truck east into the Sinai. Then through the tunnels to Gaza.
