Security source: When the power goes, Hamas will be forced out of the tunnels

Hamas fears that in the coming days, the gas will run out in the Gaza Strip and there will be no electricity, which will cause the ventilation systems in the tunnels dug under the enclave to shut down, a security official told Walla today (Tuesday).

When the electricity runs out, the Hamas terrorists will be forced out of the tunnels into the open air.

"According to a calculation made by the security establishment, and an analysis of the humanitarian situation in terms of supplies in general and the amount of fuel in particular in the Gaza Strip, in a short time we will see Hamas come under great pressure," said the source.

He also said that "the leaders, commanders, and activists - what interests the Hamas leadership is the fuel, not food and water. Why? Because most of its leadership and fighters are in tunnels deep underground. They need power to circulate air, operate the communication systems, and activate the rocket launchers."

But how will they play retro DOS games, like DOOM!: Hell on Earth? It's so much fun! Humanitarian crisis. War crime.

Send them tear gas. Pump it into every basement in the city.

They will let the hostages die when that happens.

The fate of the hostages aside, a good strategy would be to bury Hamas in the tunnels. Block every exit.

What a shame it would be if an exhaust pipe of some sort was “accidentally” placed at the entrance to these tunnels, and the other entrances were somehow plugged?

Yes, what a shame it would be.

“They probably have gasoline generators in the tunnels....................”

That’ll run out, too - and in the process create noise and fumes that won’t do them any good at all.

Cut the fuel, ALL of it. The German and Japanese populations suffered under similar or worse conditions as the allies destroyed their oppressive and barbaric governments, so must the Arab population of Gaza - such are the unavoidable costs of war against uncivilized people who aren’t the least bit concerned about even their own population. that is EXACTLY the kind of regime that MUST be destroyed.

Hamas delenda est!

Or pump in an overkill amount of aerosol vomiting agent into any found tunnel...

Cheaper solution: Pump in seawater.

The savages have been living in tunnels for centuries, long before electricity came along.

Ha, sure, let them fire up those carbon monoxide generators in tunnels with poor ventilation. That will save the IDF a lot of work.

Indeed. How to find the entrances and tunnel networks?

I've always thought pumping city sewage into the air-ducts and entrances would be a good, low-cost strategy. The goal not being to flood them, which would be a huge enterprise, but to make them highly unhealthy and unlivable, even short periods

—unless the exhaust is ventilated to the surface, the carbon monoxide would mean sure death—

I would assume that several of the entrances/exits to the tunnels have already been blocked over the last couple weeks.
When you blow up a multi story concrete reinforced building the pile of rubble would cover the entrance.

I would think the entrances still in tact are under the hospitals, schools, mosques and churches.

Good. So far as i'm concerned, everyone who is a member of Hamas has forfeited the right to live, whether they engaged in the raid or not.

We should treat them like the Nazis, but worse. Hamas needs to die, and everyone who is a member of Hamas needs to die.

“They will let the hostages die when that happens.”

First, we don’t know how many are alive right now - though the Israelis are probably within a few in terms of knowing how many were kidnapped.

Second, those there are undoubtedly being raped, tortured, not fed very much, etc. IOW, they are suffering.

Third, Hamas NEVER had any intent to return them. They took them to use as leverage to get their own prisoners released, but with Bibi in charge they had to know that this wasn’t going to happen.

Sadly, tragically, those hostages are effectively dead already - though all reasonable efforts should be made to rescue as many as can be located. But the destruction of Hamas must continue apace. They CANNOT be allowed to survive as an intact organization, just as the Nazis, Fascists and militaristic Tojo regime could not be allowed to survive WW2...and that conflict involved a lot of civilian casualties, even putting aside the purposeful atrocities of those regimes. To fail to fight evil tyrannies because they could kill more people is to guarantee not merely their success, but MUCH more death because they remain in power.

Hamas delenda est!

“Cheaper solution: Pump in seawater.”

Better yet, mix the seawater with diesel fuel and pump the liquid into the tunnels. That’s what the US Army did to 1600 holdouts on Iwo Jima.
