Report Exposes California’s Shifty Schiff Living in Maryland for Over a Decade...'It depends on which claim most financially benefits him...'

Embattled Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., found himself in the center of a political storm as documents recently surfaced, revealing that he has maintained a residence in Maryland for more than a decade while representing California’s 21st district.

Mortgage records and financial disclosures obtained by CNN indicated that Schiff claimed a 3,420-square-foot property in Maryland as his primary residence, alongside a smaller 650-square-foot condo in Burbank, California.

The documents, however, also uncovered his alleged utilization of the California address to mitigate a substantial $7,000 tax bill.

The timing of this bombshell comes as Schiff seeks the vacant U.S. Senate seat in California, following the passing of Sen. Dianne Feinstein earlier this year.

Schiff is competing against fellow Reps. Barbara Lee and Katie Porter for the senate seat, which is currently held by Gov. Gavin Newsom’s appointee, Laphonza Butler. Butler, a leftist activist, herself became embroiled in controversy for allegedly residing in Maryland.

A spokesperson for the embattled Democrat rushed to the congressman’s defense in a statement “Adam’s primary residence is Burbank, California, and will remain so when he wins the Senate seat,” the spokesperson claimed.

“As Adam has discussed openly many times over the years, including in his recent New York Times best-selling book, he and Eve made the difficult decision to move their family to the D.C. area to spend more time with his children while doing his job,” the individual added.

According to the bombshell report, Schiff paid California property taxes in 2017 by using a check that contained his Maryland address. Moreover, Schiff allegedly used his Maryland address during mortgage refinancing activities from 2003 to 2009, as well as in 2012. A Los Angeles County deed records for his California condo showed that he notarized the documents in Maryland.

I just love, love, love it when liberals screw up. Schifty was not only
double-dealing his Cali constituents, he was being his incredibly stupid self.

According to the bombshell report,
<><>Schiff paid his Cali property taxes in 2017 w/ a check listing his Maryland address.
<><>Schiff is said to have used his Md address during mortgage refinancing from 2003-2009, and 2012.
<><>A LA County deed record for his Cali condo showed that he notarized the documents in Maryland.

Schiff is a (gag) Congressman elected and paid to rep Cali residents, who was actually living in Md.
BUT.....he did it for.......drum roll, please......The Children.

Schiff is the best member of the Communist Party and a fine Representative of Maryland...

He knows exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind when this socialist nation was established...

Overview of House Qualifications Clause-—Article I, Section 2, Clause 2:

No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

The House Qualifications Clause set forth at Article I, Section 2, Clause 2 requires a Member to be at least twenty-five years of age, a United States citizen for seven years, and an inhabitant of the state from which he or she is elected at the time of election. The Framers designed these minimal requirements to give people freedom to choose the person who would best represent their interests in Congress. Explaining the impetus behind the adoption of these requirements at the Constitutional Convention, the writer of the Federalist No. 52 commented: Under these reasonable limitations, the door of this part of the federal government is open to merit of every description, whether native or adoptive, whether young or old, and without regard to poverty or wealth, or to any particular profession of religious faith.

1 When determining the qualification requirements, the Framers gave careful consideration to what the office required.

2 The Framers reasoned that a twenty-five year age requirement would ensure that Members had sufficient maturity to perform their duties, while a seven-year citizenship requirement would allow foreign born citizens to participate in the government while ensuring they were knowledgeable about the United States and unlikely to be influenced by loyalty to the land of their birth.

3 Finally, the Framers required Members to be inhabitants of the state from which they were elected so that they would be vested in representing the interests of the state.

4 Discussing the residency requirements in his Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, Justice Joseph Story stated: The object of this clause, doubtless, was to secure an attachment to, and a just representation of, the interests of the state in the national councils. It was supposed, that an inhabitant would feel a deeper concern, and possess a more enlightened view of the various interests of his constituents. And, in all events, he would generally possess more entirely their sympathy and confidence.

5 While Article I, Section 2, Clause 2 expressly requires state inhabitancy at the time of the election, Congress has interpreted the House Qualifications Clause to require only that Members meet age and citizenship qualifications at the time they take the oath of office.

6 Thus, Congress has admitted persons, who were ineligible when elected, to the House of Representatives once they met age and citizenship criteria for membership in the House.

7 Further, the Supreme Court held in Powell v. McCormack and U.S. Term Limits, Inc. v. Thornton that neither Congress nor the states, respectively, can add to the qualifications stipulated in the Constitution for membership in Congress.

I was once “represented” b communist David Bonoir. He was the same. He had a $400,000 mansion in Maryland and a $20,000 condo in a ghetto area of Mt. Clemens, MI.

Re: "a 650-square-foot condo in Burbank, California"

Am I the first person to do the math?

That is less than 26 feet X 26 feet.

In other words - a one person studio apartment.

I wonder if he actually stays there when he occasionally visits Burbank for a campaign weekend?

Anyone else think he rents it out or lets someone in his family live there?

Not that it matters - as long as his Congressional District harvests a larger than average share of federal spending, his Democrat constituents do not even care what country he lives in!
