Trump went too far here. We don’t live in a feudal state where one person owes loyalty to another. We owe loyalty to the flag and to the Constitution. And that’s about it.
This doesn’t let Gov. Reynolds off the hook. Her presumed endorsement of DeSantis is both unwise and unhelpful. Like it or not, Trump will be the 2024 GOP nominee. It’s time to unite.
Thanks for saying that.
I would consider it a duty and obligation to rebel against *ANY* human or ideology that requests or requires “loyalty”.
RINOs expect conservatives to show party loyality but it never works the other way around.
Nobody, Trump included, is saying she owes him loyalty in any legal sense. The comparison with feudalism is a poor one.
The reality is that Trump can only serve one more 4-year term, much of which will be spent fighting off the 91 felony indictments against him (regardless of the validity, they’re still a distraction). Whomever he picks as VP will have a marginal edge in 2028 - assuming they don’t get tarred by association - but he will be taking office as a lame duck. This whole candidate circus begins again the day after the 2024 election if he wins. Wouldn’t we be better off with a team that can serve for 8 years, and perhaps even 16?
