Tim McGraw has also spoken out about the school shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 27, 2023. In a tweet, he wrote, “My heart is breaking for the victims of the senseless shooting at Covenant School in Nashville. We need to do better to protect our children and our communities from gun violence.”
In a statement to Rolling Stone, McGraw said, “I’m shocked and saddened by the tragic shooting at Covenant School in Nashville. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the entire Nashville community.”
McGraw also called for gun control measures in the wake of the shooting. He said, “We need to have common-sense gun control laws in place to make it harder for people to get their hands on guns, and to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people.”
