Tim McGraw has expressed support for Native American rights and culture. He has spoken out against discrimination against Native Americans and has supported policies to protect their rights.
In a 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, McGraw said, “I believe that Native Americans are the original stewards of this land. They have been here for thousands of years, and they have a lot to teach us about how to live in harmony with nature.” He went on to say, “I support Native American rights and culture, and I believe that we need to do more to protect them.”
McGraw has also supported policies to protect Native American rights. In 2021, he joined a group of celebrities in signing a letter to Congress urging the passage of the Native American Voting Rights Advancement Act. This legislation would make it easier for Native Americans to register to vote and cast their ballots.”
McGraw’s views on Native Americans have also been praised by some Native American activists. In a 2022 interview with the Native News Network, Lakota activist Oglala Lakota Oyate said, “Tim McGraw is a true ally to the Native American people.
