Tim McGraw has expressed support for immigration reform and a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. He has also spoken out against the Trump administration’s policies on immigration, which he has called “cruel” and “inhumane.”
In a 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, McGraw said, “I think we need to have comprehensive immigration reform in this country. I think we need to have a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. I think we need to treat people with respect and dignity, regardless of where they come from.”
McGraw has also criticized the Trump administration’s policy of separating families at the border. In a 2018 tweet, he wrote, “Separating families at the border is cruel and inhumane. It’s not who we are as a country. We need to put an end to this policy now.”
