I remember those evenings. First The Wonderful World of Disney and then Bonanza, a great way to spend Sunday evening.
Don’t forget Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.
But then there was Lawrence Welk. The only part I could stand was when Bobby and Cissy danced.
In 1967, Cissy became Bobby Burgess’s dance partner on The Lawrence Welk Show when his first partner, Barbara Boylan, left to get married. For the next dozen years, she became one of the most popular performers on the show with her vivacious personality, singing talents and her natural dance moves.
What a hottie
And Bullwinkle was in the Sunday evening lineup somewhere too. I have fond memories of our whole family watching Bullwinkle and Disney when I was a little kid.
