Yeah. Bad idea. Just wait till Hamas says, “Sorry, there will be some delay. Better keep to the cease fire though.”

We’ll all be paying the cost of this mistake. Not just Israelis, but us, too.

YUGE mistake!

Israel gives: four days for Hamas to regroup and find new hidey holes in a much decreased battlefield and a few hundred (maybe even a few thousand) low level criminals who were doing nothing in Israeli jails other than gaining street cred and becoming more militant.

Israel gets: 50 hostages back alive who otherwise had an uncertain chance at surviving their captivity, four days of rest for their troops who have been conducting house-to-house urban and tunnel warfare for a month straight, and four more days for their intel services to process the pocket litter and leads so they can rebuild their target decks.

Israel also gets to do this after capturing hospital sites in Gaza City that were previously untouchable by Israeli bombs.

Israel's military is not built for sustained siege warfare, and Hamas' isn't built for actual warfare. Both sides gain something, but Hamas doesn't gain nearly as much and often a pause in conflict allows the losing side a chance to think real hard about how badly it wants to keep losing.

Dumb idea. I wonder if it’s pressure from the antisemitic Biden regime or from the leftist elements in the Israeli government who were disrupting the government before the October 7 attack.

YUGE mistake!

I'm not so sure this is a mistake. Notwithstanding the intelligence blunder that allowed 10/07 to happen, I assume that Israeli intelligence is now monitoring everything in Gaza, and when the truce ends, they will have a precise understanding of whom and where they can target the enemy.

Not really. some of the highest IQ people on earth are giving 4 days to the lowest IQ types.
IDF will clean weapons, clean up details, get some hot chow to the men, etc.
They have a solid blockaid of the place. And rest assured, the IDF will use this as a chance to massively data mine for intelligence.
And IF any prisoners get released, they will be intensely debriefed for useful intel.
