I had to laugh...I saw the title, and wondered if it was the “Peace Bridge” in Buffalo, something I am quite familiar with, and sure enough...
Just the fact that it is named the “Peace Bridge” should be enough to make one suspicious.
Last time I went there (probably the last time I will ever go there, due to death threats I heard!) the taxi driver didn’t speak English, had no idea where the Peace Bridge was (!) and had to confer with a dozen other taxi drivers (all of whom appeared to be of Middle Eastern extraction) and none of THEM knew either.
What a joke. How could you be a cab driver in Buffalo and not know where the Peace Bridge was????
Astonishing, but true.
Update:
Now getting word that all border crossing bridges in Buffalo -Niagara area are closed - something’s up, folks...
from WIVB (CBS Affiliate):
The Peace Bridge, Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, Whirlpool Bridge, and Rainbow Bridge are all closed in both directions, according to the general manager of the Peace Bridge, Ron Reinas.
The City of Niagara Falls said federal authorities are investigating the situation.
It’s the Rainbow Bridge.. center of Niagara Falls.
