Miami Beach residents elected a Republican mayor in Tuesday’s runoff election after Steven Meiner won the race by an eight point margin.
Republican Miami Beach Commissioner Steven Meiner faced off against Democrat Michael Góngora in Tuesday’s runoff race. He won the hearts of Miami Beach residents after largely channeling a Trump-esque law and order platform, putting an emphasis on “protecting our residents, reducing crime,” and wanting “a safer city.”
“Reducing crime, a safer city, mitigating traffic, responsible development, not overdevelopment, resiliency issues that we need to address,” Meiner said, according to NBC Miami.
“I just kept talking about it and talking about it, and I really believe we have great residents, we have great voters, and I believe that would resonate and the proof is in the pudding. We are standing here right now celebrating,” he continued.

Time to declare a permanent plandemic and force all the states to use mail-in ballots.
Doesn’t Miami itself have a GOP mayor?
Yes, he ran for POTUS and dropped out
Very good news for Trump in Florida.
Many people do not know that Miami Beach is (or used to be) heavily Jewish.
If Trump gets 50% of the Jewish vote in Florida, he will win the state with a comfortable margin.
When 80% of the Jewish vote goes Democrat, Florida is always a toss up.
Florida is becoming redder every election. People here are fed up with democrats and their WOKE crapola.
Horacio Caine will have less to do…
Re: Miami GOP Mayor
That is largely because of the 1960 First Wave Cubans.
They were, and still are, mostly Republicans.
The 1960 Cubans (and their children and grandchildren) were mostly European and North American transplants.
They were not Hispanic or African or Caribbean.
They were the business owners and professional class of Cuba.
By 1960, they had made Cuba the wealthiest country in Latin America.
Then, Fidel Castro and his brother burned it to the ground.
Not a lot of Cubans in Miami Beach, a lot of Jewish people and gays though, so it’s somewhat of a surprise.
I remember when FDR’s son Elliot was mayor of Miami Beach.
I have said that Trump should push the “law and order” issue hard.
The country is ready for it, after the lunatics have let all the criminals free for four years.
Not a police state, just enforce the laws we have, and lock up criminals according to statues.
The Miami Beach audience is the best audience in the world.
“Florida is becoming redder every election.”
A lot of that is due to Gov DeSantis.
He did a great job of cracking down on voter fraud in that state, particularly in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Joe, the local Miami media has been BASHING the Republican candidate for Miami Beach mayor...the Miami Hurled has suddenly found women from years ago who say he harassed them.
And one woman was UNCOMFORTABLE when he...wait for it...tried to kiss her on a date!
Well, the guy apparently just won the election. Look for more “oppressed” women to come forward now.
Xavier Suarez has an R next to his name but he is not a real Republican. Just saying.
DeSantis put the fear of God into potential fraudsters... by arresting a few people who were voting who should’t have been voting. That worked once - it won’t work again. ‘’
What DeSantis needs to do now is ‘seed the rolls with nonexistent people’ to see if someone ‘votes’ them... IF the FBI wasn’t so corrupt they could do that in every state. Fraud ‘the big number kind’ - is done by voting the people who don’t show up to vote.

Or lieutenant Castillo!🤔
Just days ago the news was that the Dems had humiliated the GOP in the state/local elections.
