But I expect to see more, as more arrogant oligarchs find that holding legislative power just isn't as much fun as it used to be (or the prospect of having legislative power REMOVED from them becomes more of a reality).
Rotation in office is a key to Liberty! So I welcome the rotation.
2022 was a shakeout election, as the dust settled in the newly formed districts. And due to court decisions, districts are still being formed.
So game on!
Bye BYE! 🤚🏼
Whose game?
All Deep State is doing is re-arranging the deck chairs.
As long as Deep State picks the candidates and rigs our elections, theirs is the only game in town.
I wish they would get rid of Executive Orders unless a National Emergency, Congress should vote within 30-90 days on keeping the order in place or vacating it.
“”””House lawmakers rushed to the exits just ahead of Thanksgiving, with a surge of announced retirements from members fed up with drama and partisanship on Capitol Hill.”””
Yup. Murdoch’s boys and girls at the WSJ are mad that the Uniparty of Democrats and Republicans is being challenged by the new MAGA members of the House of Representatives.
‘Reaching across the aisle’ partisanship by the Uniparty is not what people want Congress to do.
This is good news, right
They’re preparing to sacrifice the GOP House majority in order to hold POTUS45/47 in check.
Yes, this is actually great news in my opinion. The only thing that would improve the turnover is term limits. Probably half these guys have already lined up some kind of sweetheart deal with universities, big business, or media as a direct result of their lobbying tax dollars directed to those entities. (I’m not saying they are all crooks, just most of them....)
Uni Party taking heed?
Good!!!!
This is how the country was designed to operate.
Farmer pete goes for 2 years.
Then farmer fred...
Then storekeeper joe.
It was never intended to have a permanent elected class.
Some may be leaving because of the intransigence between the parties, but I believe some of the long serving members are getting out to protect the money they have skimmed over their long terms. Their hope: Out of sight, out of mind. Remember Dennis Hastert? He was remarkably rich for an ex-high school wrestling coach.
Republican Rep. Bill Johnson of Ohio, 69 years old, announced he would leave office early next year to lead Youngstown State University.

Guess what, the lefties at Youngstown State are protesting!
“No election denier shall be allowed at the University!”
Maybe he should re-consider?
aww, poor babies. No longer treated with the respect they don't deserve.
IMO, each and every one should be charged a tremendous EXIT TAX.
They are cashing in and going to their jobs as lobbyists and so on.
Politics is supposed to be ponderous and messy. Can’t handle that? Quit.
Many more to come. Stay tuned.
[[A dozen lawmakers—six Democrats and six Republicans—have said in November that they don’t plan to continue serving in Congress, ]]
Why? Did the fires of hell lapping at their feet get too hot?
I suspect the oligarchs fear Trumps return and want to lower the risk of charges when he shows dots connected.
Bonus round: Democrats may have made sweetheart deals for new oligarchs this is going to be a winner takes all election the democrats have everything to lose.
