Climate Protesters Get in Fed’s Face as Policy Clash Grows Louder
The New York Times ^ | December 1, 2023 | By Jeanna Smialek

A video of security officers wrestling a protester to the floor in the lobby of the Jackson Lake Lodge in Wyoming, outside the Federal Reserve’s most closely watched annual conference, clocked more than a million views.

A protest that disrupted a speech by Jerome H. Powell, the Fed chair, at the Economic Club of New York this fall generated extensive coverage. And when the activists showed up again at Mr. Powell’s speech at the International Monetary Fund in early November, they seemed to get under his skin: The central bank’s usually staid leader was caught on a hot mic using a profanity as he told someone to close the door.

All three upheavals were caused by the same group, Climate Defiance, which a now-30-year-old activist named Michael Greenberg founded in the spring. Mr. Greenberg had long worked in traditional climate advocacy, but he decided that something louder was needed to spur change at institutions like the Fed.

“I realized there was a big need for disruptive direct action,” he explained in an interview. “It just gets so, so, so, so, so much more attention.” The small but noisy band of protesters dogging the Fed chair is also spotlighting a problem that the central bank has long grappled with: precisely what role it should play in the world’s transition to green energy.

Climate-focused groups often argue that as a regulator of the nation’s largest banks, the Fed should play a major role in preparing the financial system for the damaging effects of climate change. Some want it to more overtly discourage bank lending to fossil fuel companies. Mr. Greenberg, for instance, said he would like the Fed to use regulation to make lending to oil and gas companies essentially cost-prohibitive.

The most obvious fix is to ignore them and do the opposite of what they advocate. In other words, poke them back. That is what I would do. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Elites don’t seem to think that way.

Always wondered who would become the richest because of the scam.

Thank you for referencing that article Oldeconomybuyer.

"Climate Protesters Get in Fed’s Face as Policy Clash Grows Louder"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Misguided, institutionally indoctrinated climate protestors unsurprisingly don't seem to understand major constitutional problems with the Federal Reserve any more than they have a grip on politically correct, government-manufactured global warming fraud.

To begin with, climate alarmists have so far never volunteered a reasonable explanation why greenhouse gasses like methane and CO2 fail to hold down the heat during a midday solar eclipse of an otherwise warm sunny day.

Also, is it any surprise that nighttime temperatures typically keep dropping in many places until shortly after sunrise?

Next, the drafters of the Constitution actually gave us despicable voters the power to regulate the value of money indirectly when they uniquely gave Congress the power to regulate the value of money.

"Article I, Section 8, Clause 5: To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof [emphasis added], and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;"

The bottom line concerning who regulates the value of U.S. money is that Constitution-ignoring activist President Woodrow Wilson wrongly ignored first leading the states to appropriately amend the Constitution to give Congress's unique power to regulate money to the constitutionally undefined Federal Reserve run by non-popularly elected federal bureaucrats.

So as a consequence of Wilson "overlooking" a required new amendment, Congress still has full constitutional responsibility for regulating the value of money regardless if the career lawmakers that voters keep reelecting want that responsibility or not imo.

As a side note about the Federal Reserve and other likewise constitutionally undefined, so-called federal regulatory agencies like it, consider that such agencies helped to foster the emergence of career lawmakers.

In fact, also consider the politically correct interpretation of the Constitution's Article I, Section 1.

"Article I, Section 1: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives [and non-popularly-elected bureaucrats running Federal Reserve, IRS, EPA, BLM, FDA, NIH, CDC, FWS, DHS, DOL, USDA, FCC, FTA, etc.]"

Getting back to misguided climate protestors, what they really need to do, instead of spinning their wheels trying push a likewise junk science bluff for why the temperature quickly drops in the middle of a sunny day when a solar eclipse happens, is the following.

Protestors need to ASAP lead constitutionally low-information voters like themselves to primary all federal lawmakers in 2024, except for MTG, Gaetz and Company, Jordan (and others?), and replace them with patriots who will take full constitutional responsibility for regulating the value of money as the drafters of the Constitution had intended.

Finally, consider that all the corrupt political party and media fuss about getting rid of the "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties that have pirated control of states and federal governments from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.

“It just gets so, so, so, so, so much more attention.”

We're not listening! We don't care! Who the heck wants to listen to protesters? The darn sh*theads need to get their heads busted, is that the attention they want?
