Former slave-trading colonial powers should pay Barbados $4.9 trillion (£3.9 trillion) in reparations, the Caribbean country’s leftist prime minister demanded.
Speaking at the London School of Economics this week, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley redoubled her push for slavery reparations, saying that the movement demanding payment for historical wrongs had become a more pressing issue following the resurgence of Black Lives Matter and the killing of George Floyd in the United States in 2020.

This is the result when history is distorted.
If asked, many would claim it the United States that began slavery when in reality there is no clear record of when slavery began since it existed before written history.
It was western nations (the UK and later the US) that ended slavery in most of the “civilized” world. Slavery existed in the United States for only around 80 year and we fought a great Civil War (where one cause was to end slavery). Remember, before 1776 the United States did not exist.
No reparation are due to anyone.
How many of your ancestors sold human beings into the slave trade market? Because you sure show signs of having lived a lifestyle of gluttony.
