There was a 2nd world war because the 1st world war did not get settled properly. And the 1st one was mostly in Europe, while the 2nd one got into Asia and the Pacific because only one person in Japan (Yamamoto??) understood the consequences of wakening a sleeping giant.

There hasn't been a hot shooting war in Europe since then, but the Cold War did make some challenging times. Now Europe is faced with an invasion of foreigners that they invited in. The next round of war in Europe will be civil wars, internal struggles, if the natives decide to go back to Europe for Europeans. Otherwise, it will end up looking like the street scenes in "Blade Runner".

Hasn’t been much shooting in Europe lately??

With Russia in an all out war right now, and having devastated its neighbors???

I guess this is now make believe land.

“There was a 2nd world war because the 1st world war did not get settled properly.”

The question is why? Is it because Versailles was fundamentally flawed ab initio? Or, was the problem in its application and enforcement? THAT argument has been going on for over a hundred years. The main point is that GERMANY didn’t think it (the War) was settled properly. And these things often come down to just one party believing it got screwed; and that party wants redress.
