Congratulations on posting one of the few balanced responses in this thread. There is very likely some aspects of this story that none of us know anything about yet. Way too early to make some of the conclusions that have been posted on this thread.

There are a fair number of excellent African-American authors, but I can’t imagine an American university would offer a degree involving any of them.
