University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill – under increasing pressure from both donors and the White House after her disastrous testimony before Congress this week on the school’s failure to protect Jewish students – “voluntarily” resigned her post Saturday, the school announced.
“I write to share that President Liz Magill has voluntarily tendered her resignation as President of the University of Pennsylvania. She will remain a tenured faculty member at Penn Carey Law. “On behalf of the entire Penn community, I want to thank President Magill for her service to the University as President and wish her well.
“We will be in touch in the coming days to share plans for interim leadership of Penn. President Magill has agreed to stay on until an interim president is appointed.
“President Magill shared the following statement, which I include here: ‘It has been my privilege to serve as President of this remarkable institution. It has been an honor to work with our faculty, students, staff, alumni, and community members to advance Penn’s vital missions.’”

My money is on a BIG severance package .
That too. Although it tends in the negative.
Will Harvard fire the Black lady?
“ Will Harvard fire the Black lady?”
Not while Penny Pritzker is running the show.
The constipated look when you really don't shive a git.
Pennsylvania Ping!

FReepmail me to be added to the list.
It’s not a soft landing. It actually was a very hard landing for an Ivy president. Liz Magill’s position is just an admistrative post. That doesn’t count in the university. Primarily she is a member of the faculty and the faculty control the administrative staff.
Years ago when Dwight Eisenhower was addressing the faculty at Columbia, he called the members of the faculty employees. Isidore Rabi, a distinguished faculty member interrupted him to say, “The faculty is the university.”
What do you do with the thousands of nazis still there in school and teaching.
The comments on this thread indicate a lack of understanding of how universities are run, the role of administrators and most important, who has power.
The presidents of a universities have limited power. They are employees of the institution. Their job is to bring in money.
Board Chair Scott Bok has also resigned. He’s been under pressure from alums for weeks over his inaction at discouraging Jew-hate at Penn.
“What do you do with the thousands of nazis still there in school and teaching.”
Your comment reminds me of the deep state in 1963. What do we do with tens of thousands of Cubans we have been training to invade Cuba and take the island back from Castro.
The Deep State, once again, has a weaponized group in the universities it can’t control.
One down; two (Harvard and MIT) to go. And the Board of Regents members who hired these poor excuses for a president should also resign.
One donor pulled a $100 million donation after these comments and a previous $100 million donation related to other crap at Penn. Money talks…
1 down. Many to go.
No big deal the next one WILL BE just as bad, BANK ON IT!!
But everyone knew her as Nancy
Genocide U has an opening.
Ted Cruz
She will fit right in at Stanford. Her resume is probably on the Regents’ desks right now.
