Bible in a Year :
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good . . . the saving of many lives.
Anne grew up in poverty and pain. Two of her siblings died in infancy. At five, an eye disease left her partially blind and unable to read or write. When Anne was eight, her mother died from tuberculosis. Shortly after, her abusive father abandoned his three surviving children. The youngest was sent to live with relatives, but Anne and her brother, Jimmie, went to Tewksbury Almshouse, a dilapidated, overcrowded poorhouse. A few months later, Jimmie died.
At age fourteen, Anneโs circumstances brightened. She was sent to a school for the blind, where she underwent surgery to improve her vision and learned to read and write. Though she struggled to fit in, she excelled academically and graduated valedictorian. Today we know her best as Anne Sullivan, Helen Kellerโs teacher and companion. Through effort, patience, and love, Anne taught blind and deaf Helen to speak, to read Braille, and to graduate from college.
Joseph too had to overcome extreme trials: at seventeen, he was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and was later wrongly imprisoned (Genesis 37; 39โ41). Yet God used him to save Egypt and his family from famine (50:20).
We all face trials and troubles. But just as God helped Joseph and Anne to overcome and to deeply impact the lives of others, He can help and use us. Seek Him for help and guidance. He sees and hears. .
Reflect & Pray
How has God helped you through a trial? How have you been able to help another in their struggle?
Dear God, thank You! You helped me come through a trial. Please help me to be a helper to others.

Comments below the video:
“This was my father’s bombing group. He was actually part of the 350th and he was a navigator. He flew 27 missions. He was 22 years old at the time and given the responsibility of navigating by the stars and through very basic radar, I would assume, to get from England to Germany and back while people were shooting at them, and they were trying to bomb the enemy. He did not talk much about what they did but I learned a lot about it later after he passed. That was an extraordinary generation. Men of honor who fought for what was right.”
Howdy, Kathy.
Not the best of days up there, is it? D*** all that snow!!!!

ohn “Lucky” Luckadoo was eager to get into the war after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and enlisted alongside his college classmates early in 1942.
Luckadoo would complete flight training and go on to serve in the 8th Air Force in one of the first units to take the fight to Germany, the 100th Bomb Group, known as the “Bloody Hundredth” based at Thorpe Abbotts, England.
Lucky would serve as pilot and copilot aboard a B-17 Flying Fortress and fly 25 death-defying combat missions over France and Germany from June to October, 1943. He was among the first of the American bomber boys to survive 25 missions.
On March 16, 2023 John “Lucky” Luckadoo celebrated his 101st birthday. He is among the last living WWII pilots from the “Bloody Hundredth,” the outfit portrayed in Masters of the Air.

LOL! I can think of a better way to contribute your money. Great score, though!
Hi there, Kathy! Thanks for the ping-a-ling! Hope this isn’t crazy-week for you at work. I also hope that you get some time off for Christmas.
Good evening, Rus! Good to see you as usual! Hope you are enjoying some pretty weather up there. Or is it winter already?
Howdy, luvie.
That virtual pet thingie got me. What the heck is that?? LOL
Yes, it was a nice day here once the sun was up for a little bit to warm things up. It’ll be the same all week. Nice days and cold nights.
Has the wind laid down there yet or is it still blowing?
Great score, Janey! Thanks for playing! That’s probably one of the ones I missed. LOL!
Heck, I don’t know. I probably missed it. LOL!
The wind has died down for the moment. We’re supposed to get rain for the next couple of days. Not holding my breath!
Thanks for the reminder! ๐โก๏ธ
The wind has NOT died down. LOL! I just went out to feed the kitties and there are leaves blowing everywhere. Better late than never, I reckon. ๐ธ
Glad to hear the wind died down. I’m sure the kitties appreciate it too.
Ooooo! I hope they’re right about your rain! You need it!
Well darn! Spoke too soon, did ya? Did any of the kitties show up to eat or are they still hiding from the wind?
All were there except for Coal, and sometimes she waits till later to eat. She was here this morning, so I’m not worried. I was the one who scurried back inside really quickly. LOL!
