Conservatives unhappy with Speaker Johnson over defense bill passage with FISA reauthorization

House conservatives are unhappy with House Speaker Mike Johnson's handling of the defense bill passage, which included temporary Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act reauthorization.

Republicans and some Democrats have been calling for changes to FISA's Section 702, which deals with federal surveillance of U.S. citizens abroad.

House GOP leaders pulled two FISA reform bills from the House floor and the National Defense Authorization Act passed with a temporary FISA extension through April 19. More House Democrats voted in favor of the NDAA than Republicans. The NDAA passed in the Democratic-led Senate 87-13.

"I love our military. That’s why I voted for the NDAA passed this summer under Speaker McCarthy that included a 30% pay raise for junior members of the military. But the NDAA negotiated by Speaker Johnson, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and Hakeem Jeffries removed that pay raise," said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

"Not only that, it didn’t remove Ukraine funding and doubled it to $600 million, funded abortion vacations, and kept trans in our military. Worst of all, they shoved the FISA spy court into our defense bill. The NDAA should NEVER reauthorize the weaponization of our justice system that Joe Biden’s DOJ and the FBI are using to spy on American citizens," she added.

Other conservatives vented their frustrations with the NDAA process.

"More Dems just voted for the BAD NDAA deal than Republicans. I voted AGAINST it because the Senate stripped most of the things that made it a good bill in the summer, and they added the FISA extension without reforms," Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., the new chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, wrote on X.

You posted and commented that Pres Trump signed this in Jan 201&:

Section 702 provides the necessary authority, and it has proven to be among the Nation’s most effective foreign intelligence tools.……

Can you provide the link that you got this from?

I think (just an opinion) that congressmen, even those who have heard that there are real "visitors," were told, if you kill the bill, you will get some anonymous donations...if you don't, people you care about will be hurt.

As has been said, this news will change humanity forever. And there is an unbelievable amount of power and money involved.

Yep. Dolan is good. So is Steven Bassett.

I think I mentioned my pet peeve with Bassett—he has been saying “disclosure any day now” for decades.

He is the Hyman Roth of the UFO movement—”dying from the same heart attack for twenty years”....

More on Dolan—in several podcasts he has outlined his analytical framework for disclosure.

The “red line” is government admission/undeniable proof of possession of alien craft and bodies. We seem stuck just below that line.

Then things get really crazy—and hard to contain.

The next step up is admission of communication with aliens—including release of the content of those communications. Now we are into “civilization changing/paradigm shifting” stuff.

The next step past that is admission of treaties with aliens/including admission of .gov participation/collaboration in alien abductions. It includes admission of coverup activities up to and including murder of potential whistleblowers. That is “overthrow the government” type stuff.

If any .gov is left after that the next step would be acknowledgement of the secret space program/breakaway civilization.

It is easy to see why the powers that be need to stop this at the “red line”.

“Trump signed Section 702 into law.“

___________

President Bush signed it into law in 2008.

In 2008, Congress enacted Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to expand the government’s capacity to conduct surveillance of suspected foreign terrorists.

President Trump signed the 3rd reauthorization with broad bipartisan support, including Ron DeSantis’.

Yep. I don't usually pay much attention to Bassett. But since Turner and Rogers killed the bill, Bassett's sources in DC have had some pretty interesting things to say.

I'm suspicious of everyone, but Bassett's talking and I'm tucking his comments away for later.

One thing that I do find promising is that the DOD/CIA/contractors screwed up by not supporting the bill. The bill would have given them some control over the flow of information. But now, because they've lost credibility by showing their hand (i.e., they've got something to disclose or they wouldn't have killed the bill), information is going to start leaking from the most unexpected sources. Uncontrollably.

Some people are saying that some of the "visitors" (whatever they are) want some kind of disclosure even if DOD/CIA/contractors don't. On top of that, the stigma is disappearing and those old NDAs that the "suits" had everyone sign have lost their gravitas.

“Some people are saying that some of the “visitors” (whatever they are) want some kind of disclosure”

Sources on this are all over the place—I cannot make head nor tails on this stuff—”their intentions” are deep in the rabbit hole. I am not even persuaded they care what we do at this point—any more than scientists care what the chimps in the lab do next.

Who were the anti-Swamp Democrats who voted no? I have thought for some time there must be anti-Swamp Democrats.

One of the things that NAZIs in Germany did during its rise to power was to coopt its legal system (judges, lawyers, scholars) into altering existing laws to provide a basis for persecuting Jews. FISA and the FISC are exactly the same thing, but this time used against conservative Americans. Reauthorize it? (FISA) NO! Repeal it and disband that lickspittle rubber stamp court.

Well, as you have said, there seem to be a lot of different kinds of "them" and they are not unified in the way they see us.

But, also as you have said, who knows what to believe? I take it all with a huge grain of salt.

As an aside, Russia or China or some other country could beat the U.S. to disclosure and that would make us look weak. Some folks are saying that is a very real countervailing factor.

As for me, I'm just observing at this point. Who the hell knows what's gonna happen.

Good to talk to you. I'm turning in for the day.

If you come across any good articles to post on this subject, remember that the UFO ping list is on my home page.

{{{{{(World 🌎🌍) Government v citizens.}}}}}

That's exactly what it's going to be when the following occurs. IMPORTANT NOTE: this only occurs at the middle of the 7 years of 'Peace and Security'.

Beware when a 'two-state solution' is confirmed for 7 years.

MSNBC and NBC News sponsored the Global Citizen Festival in 2014 - not sure about other years

The 2014 Global Citizen Festival was the one where the whole audience worshiped Obama when his image appeared on the screen in front of them (pre-recorded video)

Look at nearly every mindless idiot in that audience.

Appears that the cop, state trooper, security aren’t doing it. Maybe a couple of others.
