President Joe Biden’s approval rating is continuing to drop.
On Thursday, Pew Research released a poll that found just 33% of Americans approve of the president’s job performance.
Meanwhile, 64% say they disapprove.
Broken down by party, 61% of Democrats say they approve of Biden’s job performance — down from 73% at the end of 2022 — and just 7% of Republicans say the same.
Journalist Chris Cillizza shared the poll results and posted on X, formerly Twitter, “33%. Holy cow.”
The poll comes after a poll by Bloomberg found Trump leading Biden in seven swing states.
Earlier this month, a CNN/SSRS poll found just 37% of Americans approve of Biden’s job performance while 63% disapprove.
The network’s political director, David Chalian, noted Biden’s approval rating is lower than any of his predecessors going back to Jimmy Carter at this point in their presidencies.
He then pointed out former President Donald Trump’s approval rating in 2019 and Carter’s in 1979 and added, “What do they all have in common? They didn’t win their re-election race.”
“This is a real warning sign for President Joe Biden,” Chalian said.
I saw an article that says 27% of the US labor force is now employed by the gov’t (Federal, state, and local). How many of those people (voters) are locked into the current political environment?
Yet, despite polls showing high disapproval numbers, he’ll get over 100 million votes in the 2024.
67% are loony.
And that's before he heard about these poll numbers.
It doesn’t matter if he has 0% approval he’ll still win—Dems know the path.
I disapproved of warmonger Shrub but still voted for him. I disapproved of warmonger McCain but still voted for him.
We no longer have a press that attempts to inform.
It’s all about indoctrination.
Once (if) folks begin to catch on, their power evaporates.
Plenty of time for Republicans to screw it up.

The nice thing is more and more of us can see their corporate news in action. Deliberately selected and sharpened focus stories, repetitions and omissions, weasel words, phoney polls, and outright lies. And our own side is increasingly
seen for their own scumminess, collaboration, and villainy.
Where it leads, I don’t know, but the less we are fooled the better.

George Bush had ratings in the high twenties by the time they got done with him. And that was after a full court media press for several years. Biden has approached that level all on his own doing, despite a sympathetic media. Remarkable.
Meaningless polls remain meaningless, even if they are showing what we want to see in them....
You are correct. It doesn’t matter how much Democrats disapprove of Biden, they’ll vote for him anyway because “Trump is Hitler.” Polls will mean nothing this election - best to keep that in mind.
