Message:
Please ignore the Bidens and their history of pedophilia.
Please ignore Epstein’s friends and their history of pedophilia.
What you really need to be concerned about is — those sicko Republicans and their interest in purity. Worse than pedophiles!

Sounds like an old-fashioned fathers/daughters banquet with added frills.

...in a bizarre prom-like ritual where she was made to take a vow of abstinence. Purity and vows of abstinence. Yes, very "bizarre" indeed. And she was "made" to take it, too. Obviously coerced.

Gee....do something good and you get crucified...if you're a Christian.
Many churches have these pledges.
I remember taking an pledge in church...to never drink alcohol.

I’m pretty sure he held a gun to her head. After all, he’s a Christian right winger.

Oh, no! How could he do it!? Reverse his vote for Speaker! What an abomination! He’s trying to keep his young daughter from fornicating! Oh the humanity!/SARC

“I remember taking an pledge in church...to never drink alcohol.”
Right. Out Church Covenant pretty much covers all that stuff.

Our church never would have one of those events. “Ball” = dancing.
Maybe a dinner or a banquet.

Was Jesus Christ Bizarre for commanding his people to abstain from Adultery and Fornication? …and for saying those who practice such things are headed for hellfire?
Is predatory LGBTQI grooming of little children “bizarre?”

That beautiful, protective ritual is performed in many cultures, in South America and Mexico for starters. Think what would occur when all cultures have such a ritual for girls but, also for young men. Hmmmm.
