Three former Trump WH officials warn against his 2024 bid: ‘End of American democracy’
The New York Post ^ | 12/31/2023 | Ryan King

Three women who worked in former President Donald Trump’s administration bleakly warned voters against returning him to the White House in 2024.

They cautioned that he poses a grave threat to American democracy and some even mused about backing the Democrat option should Trump lock down the GOP nod.

“Everyone who was in the West Wing, and frankly, a lot of Cabinet secretaries, they know how dangerous Trump is,” former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin told ABC’s “This Week.”

“This is not about politics. It’s not about policy. It is about the character of the man.”

Griffin was joined in the interview by former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson and former White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews. “We don’t need to speculate what a second Trump term would like because we already saw it play out,” Matthews said, before rehashing his 2020 election denialism.

Trump’s campaign forcefully repudiated the three women, who have been vocally outspoken against the 45th president.

“These ungrateful grifters used the opportunities given to them by President Trump to build their careers until they realized they could make more money as Never Trumper$ [sic],” a Trump campaign official said.

“None of their TV contracts or book deals would exist if they hadn’t gone Full Judas.”

The 77-year-old former president and GOP frontrunner has grappled with a bevy of high-profile defections from his administration.

Top former officials such as former National Security Adviser John Bolton, Attorney General Bill Barr, Chief of Staff John Kelly, and more have all warned against reelecting him in 2024.

The projection never ends
Somehow electing Trump ends democracy and brings in a dictator, as opposed to what we have had for the last three years.

The threat to their existence that was briefly challenged does scare the hell out of then

Trump just winning with all the mechanisms they have in place to stop him would make hitlarys loss seem like a day in the park.

Sadly with the state of the American people, media, and govt Trump will have to find one hell of a team to even make a dent in the decline, but at the moment I see no other option.

If he wins and has success we might be able to build on that, but it will be a massive uphill battle

Perhaps the end of “American democracy”, or at least the way “democracy” is practiced in America, is not a bad thing. It is pretty much a “heads I win, tails you lose” kind of game anyway, with its stacked decks, overlooked corruption, and lopsided overrepresentation of the least competent “leaders” in positions of authority.

Desperately seeking relevance?

Sadly, we are in for just over 10 more months of this crap...at least.

The current office holder in place has done the following:
Appears to have raped a girl while Senator
Appears to have allowed hostile Foreign Governments access to classified documents while his family profited.
Appears to use his position as vice President to shake down nations to get kickbacks.
Appears to have his political enemies investigated and harassed by government agencies.
Has refused to enforce US law, snubbing the Constitution.
Has redirected federal monies to illegals and deprived Americans of a living wage.
Quoted “We have created the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in history”

Now, a bunch of RINO government people and their personal assistants tell you that Trump is a fear to end Democracy because of character and they support Biden……. Clearly the idea of democracy that these people hold is a much different animal that what our founding fathers wrote about. These people have a new definition of democracy, and it looks just like government under the democratic socialist workers party in 1930’s Germany.

I will take the Trump Democracy.

Nobody has yet to explain what the left or these people are talking about when they say " it'll be the end of democracy in the U.S."

Those saying this really do sound crackers in the head.

Is trump just the monster under every 7 y.o's bed? Something that's there, but isn't really there? Imaginary fears? delusional paranoia?

It’s primarily about J6 and their belief Trump wouldn’t peacefully transfer power over at the end of his term, or maybe not even allow another election. Silly, in most respects, but Trump only adds fuel to that fire when he says things like he would be a dictator for Day 1 in that recent interview with Hannity. ThIngs like that just don’t need to be said, by anyone.

I have always thought Trump being an outsider chose Mike Pence, in part, to advise on who to bring into the administration, we know how that worked out. Interestingly, Trump was firm on appointing Michael Flynn, which just happened to be Pence’s first target.

Are you stupid enough to believe J6 was some kind of violent protest or attempt by DJ Trump to sieze power?

You know, stupid only thrives in a crowd, who are your supporters that believe trump was responsible for J6?

trump told everyone to go home in PEACE!

then again facts dont matter to a stupid person. They are happy with social media telling them what to think. despite reality or the truth .

‘End of American democracy’

Cool! Considering that America was founded as a Republic, and not as a democracy.

I pledge allegiance to my flag and to the Republic for which it stands.... a Republic if you can keep it.

No matter what you believe Trump intended, it was not a peaceful transfer of power, for the first time in the history of this country. If the tables were turned, and something similar had happened when the electoral college was voting in 2016, I can easily imagine us questioning Democrats and what their intentions were, both at the time, and in the future.

The rhetoric is out of control on both sides at the moment. I for one would like to see more concrete plans, and courses of action, than all this bloviating, which isn’t helping anyone but the grifters on both sides. Seems to be all that really matters anymore, is who can say the most outrageous thing to attract the most attention, or show the most anger, but have little bearing on actual reality or change for the better.

He was fooled once, Not Again, and they know it.

Like choosing deep stater Jeff Sessions as the attorney general and then replacing Sessions with deep stater William Barr?

Nobody said back then that Sessions was a deep stater. He was “far right” to the left’s mouthpieces and as such looked like a good pick.

Totally agree with you.

I sure hope that Trump now sees and understands the bigger picture.

Anyone paying attention knew that William Barr was deep state before Trump nominated him.

Can’t answer the point about Sessions, I see.

And bringing up Barr (who stopped the Mueller “investigation” fiasco) means acknowledging that the 2020 election was stolen.
