Nearly 6 in 10 Americans earned more last year, even after inflation: Study

Nearly 6 in 10 American workers saw their wages grow more quickly than inflation in the past year, according to a new analysis from the Center for American Progress (CAP), a left-leaning think tank.

Some 57 percent of workers earned higher inflation-adjusted wages in November compared to one year earlier, the analysis found. This represents a larger share of workers than the average before the COVID-19 pandemic, between 2017 and 2019.

“In fact, real wages for a typical worker stand at about the level expected if there had been no pandemic or recession in early 2020 and if they had kept growing at the same rate as in years prior,” the CAP noted in the study released Wednesday.

“The media is now officially tied into and amplifying Biden and Democrat campaign storylines.”

The media and the government (but I repeat myself) only tell us what they want us to know.

I bet it's real wages are up even with "core" CPI calculated inflation -- the "official" inflation gage that excludes the prices of most real world needs like food, gas, and housing costs.

I also wouldn't be surprised with our aging population making more just from aging into more experience. For example, I made more at the age of 50 than I did at the age of 40, which was higher than at 30, etc. So as yesterday's teenagers get a little more experience they make a little more per hour in their early 20's --- just like I and everybody else did.

Of course, given that they give the bogus 3.1% YoY estimate.

Not only is that bogus government accounting meant to reduce real social security payouts, but it reported to have a big drop in rise in November, which is why they use the weird Nov and Nov calculation.

Just more pre-election campaigning from a likely completely government-captured entity (CAP).

It means nothing but that they were paid to concoct a report that endorses the pre-ordained notion from the Administration that “things are getting better.”

So “only” 40 percent of Americans saw real wages decline. Liberals of course call this good news. All hail Bidenomics.

If someone who was doing ok under Trump but is now struggling to exist paycheck to paycheck, and who then believes what these leftist rags are spouting and goes on to vote for Biden in November — well, that person is beyond saving.

Indeed. What people who read tripe like this report should be thinking “is this ‘good news’ reflected in my costs at the grocery store each week?”

Property taxes, school taxes, utility bills, rent, government fees and penalties - all up. Going up right along with food costs.
