I’m a federal employee and familiar with the Hatch Act. We’ve gotten 4 hours of admin leave on Election Day for years. I honestly don’t see any Hatch Act violations here, if “poll working” is done while on leave. Remember federal employees have rights too—if on admin leave, that’s not duty status and we are free to volunteer, put signs on our lawns, make GOTV calls. . .pretty much anything but host a fundraiser in our homes or put bumper stickers on gov’t cars or engage in partisan activity while on duty, actually.
I used to work at a Navy Base in Panama City, FL.
A woman there was fired over Hatch Act violations for standing on the sidewalk outside the base Main Gate, Before Work, waving a political poster for Ross Perot in 1992..........
That's to make sure you have enough TIME to VOTE.
you’re a parasite ...
I’ve seen a lot of questionable activities at the polls over the years on my little Upstate NY neck of the woods.
Some of it witnessed by public employees who were poll watchers.
I don’t think anyone on a public payroll should be allowed to act as a poll watcher.
Period.
