Since the Fedsurrection, the Deep State appartchiks have been promulgating the narrative that MAGA are a danger to "our democracy". The tribal equivalent of beating spears on shields to drum up courage from the troops.
Think of Biden's Philadelphia speech. Its hardly coincidental Smith says this the day before Biden is to give a purported "white supremacy is the greatest threat to "our democracy" " speech tomorrow.
If I may add: given Catherine Herridge's comments about a 2024 'black swan event' (which it will only be as the official narrative, sort of like the Mandalay Bay shhoting), and David Ignatius' Washington Post column last Fall, Orwells comment comes to mind: "All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force."
