No one said he was physically ganged up on, so police involvement hasn’t been discussed so far as I know. His parents are married and both have good reputations in the town, with stable employment.

No one is actually defending what he did, but I do think schools and parents should try like heck to discipline youngsters who bully. No one has to like them or approve of them or sympathize, but, until they do something, leave them alone and maybe they’ll stay calm. Then everyone wins.

Again, you’re implicitly justifying this bent kid’s shooting innocent and unarmed - and uninvolved people - on “bullying”.

The blame belongs with the nutcase kid and despite your description of his parents as “having a good reputation in the town”, his idiot parents. There is no way in creation they would not have known how weird their kid was, that he needed treatment, and that he was dangerous (not to mention his possession of firearms and ammunition at age 17).

Quit making excuses for yet another mental case shooting up a school.
