My company, a major international firm, is obsessed with hiring in Canada, specifically, Mississisaugua. I don’t think there are any actual Canadians there anymore.

Canada is going FULL SPEED in their Repopulation Program (as in ending White rule), so yes, it makes sense that housing and infrastructure will take some time to catch up.
True but there’s still a lot of land around Ottawa/Toronto/Montreal. Easy for them to develop around it and build more housing if not for government interference.

No problem at all if people don’t mind living in squatter camps out in the woods and fields.
I first drove the Alaska Highway in 1975 and drove it a few more times between then and 1990. All the people I saw working at hotels, gas stations, restaurants and stores were Canadian. I started driving it again in 2014, with the last time being last year. Now everything is run by foreigners. It takes me 72 hours from border to border and I don’t deal with a single Canadian now. It’s all foreigners.
