DeSantis Slams Haley, Trump For Skipping Debate: ‘I’M THE ONLY ONE Who’s Not Running A BASEMENT CAMPAIGN’

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former President Donald Trump during a town hall event this week for declining to debate ahead of the New Hampshire primary.

DeSantis made the remarks during the CNN town hall after finishing second in the Iowa caucuses this week behind former President Donald Trump, with Haley coming in third. Both DeSantis and Haley had heavily focused on the state, ad spending for both surpassing $30 million — pro-DeSantis spending reaching $35 million while pro-Haley spending reached $37 million, the most of any candidate.

“The tradition here with first-in-the-nation is something that’s very significant. I agreed to do a debate with WMUR and ABC on Thursday, and with CNN on Sunday,” DeSantis said. “I’m the only candidate that actually agreed to come to New Hampshire to debate, and what does that say? We have four candidates for president now: Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and me.”

“I’m the only one who’s not running a basement campaign at this point,” he continued. “You deserve, as a voter, to have the candidates come up, answer your questions in forums like this, have somebody like Wolf moderate a debate where you go back and forth…we’ve gotten away from, ‘Hey, let’s make let people make these decisions’ to almost like, you know, just let the media coverage determine what’s going on. I don’t think that’s what we want in a republican form of government.”

I feel bad for DeSantis. He spent $35 million in New Hampshire, and the latest poll shows he’s only 4% ahead of me. And I spent nothing in New Hampshire. Heck, I’ve never even been to New Hampshire.

4% of New Hampshire Republicans want DeSantis.
0% of New Hampshire Republicans want me.

Yup—some NH polls have him much higher than 4%.

5%.

Lol.

When you have numbers like that everybody just stops paying attention to you.

When you have to shout “Look at me!” it really is time to close down the run.

He once had such a bright future.
Now Florida Man can just drift away, never to be heard from again.
Will get no MAGA votes in any future campaign.
He’s done.

You’re running a second-hand shop campaign.

Three years ago it was already obvious:

Republican voters believe President Trump deserves the second term that was STOLEN from him in 2020.

How can DeSantis be so clueless?

"I feel bad for DeSantis. He spent $35 million in New Hampshire..."

Don't feel bad for him. It's not like any of it was his money.

Big Deep State donors treat their candidates like Friday night back alley whores—totally disposable.

Nikita will learn the lesson soon enough.

Instead of playing fake victim he needs to slam Nikki for claiming a win when she was third. He needs to say she looks people in the eye and lies to them. She came in third not second.

He’s letting her get away with it. What a dummie
