The answer is no. The Houthi attacks on the US Navy represents a surrogate that is out of control. Houthi bravado resulted in going a ship or two, too far. The Iranian concept of limited attacks to inhibit shipping via the Suez canal was wrecked by Houthi extension of the concept to include attacks on all shipping and the US Navy.
In Lebanon, the Hezbollah efforts are half hearted and ineffectual.

I think they may have trouble brewing in their own backyard that may distract them from current issues.

There is already a well thought out plan. That plan is not only in effect but is working splendidly. The splendid history changing plan and follow-up are the Abraham accords/ Negev summit.
The plan is the work of President Donald Trump. The coalition of nations being the Arabs that matter, Israel and America, are effectively united against Iran and the Iranian surrogates.
In recent months, there were highly publicized visits to Saudi Arabia by many Israeli ministers and commercial officials. Iran absolutely could not allow the steadily growing relations to continue. To disrupt the success, Iran released the Hamas assault on Israel that was reinforced by the pitiful Hezbollah action from Lebanon.
All that is now happening is the result of President Trump’s plans going in to real effect.
What may be confusing is America.
There is a strong faction in the Biden administration that opposes the Trump plan simply because it trashes the legacy of Barack Obama. This Obama clique can’t grasp the simple fact that the diplomatic game they are trying to continue to play is over.
Not only is it over, but has been for years. The world that matters is now playing a totally different game from which the Obama legacy is totally irrelevant.
There have been an extraordinarily large number of military aircraft flying over where I live in south Florida. Homestead base is nearby but I’ve only heard this level of activity unless there is some military operations ramping up. Maybe getting ready to ramp up the replies to the level that the terrorist perps will not forget?
