This story doesn’t make sense to me. The boat the SEALs took out was just manned by two SEALs? One story said they boarded the dhow and detained 12 men. It also said they sank the dhow. It's a crap story.
Here's a better one.Short version: a SEAL fell off the assault boat, and another went in the water after him to attempt rescue, while the boat continued on the mission. The dhow and its weapons were seized, and the dhow eventually sunk (it's unclear when). After the seizure of the dhow, the rest of the units in the area began a search for the two men in the water, but it was unsuccessful. (A note: the article states this all took place in 8-12 ft seas at night, without lighting)

8- 12 ft. seas — it’d be very easy for the next wave to clonk one’s head into a boat and weighed down by gear...
Heck, every year around here (mid-south USA) we get a few drownings where someone hit their head AS they fell off a boat on a lake or river...
:-(
