President Biden said Monday that women in the U.S. face a cruel reality in the aftermath of Roe v. Wade’s demise, outlining the impact laws in red states that restrict abortion access have on women.
Biden is expected to make abortion rights a major part of his reelection argument in the fall.
On Monday, the president began remarks at a meeting with the White House reproductive rights task force by talking about women being turned away in emergency rooms and forced to go to court to fight for reproductive care.
He told the story of a mother in Texas who found out her life and the life of her child were both at risk — but could not get an abortion in the state.
“They turned a deeply private and painful matter into a public matter,” Biden said of the state authorities. “She ultimately had to leave the state to get the help she needed to protect herself and her ability to have more children in the future.”

Many issues become rallying flags around which the folks of different political persuasions gather.
The issue itself is obfuscated and the arguments are often ignorant (shallow, full of fallacies, cliche, factually inaccurate).
But, the person knows they belong to some group (their identity is tied to it) and everyone in that group must say this and pretend to believe in that.
Abortion is all around a nasty thing. We hide it away for a reason. No one wants to really see what it looks like, they really don’t want to hear what it feels like, they really don’t want to learn in detail how it’s done. The offices are usually located so the women going there can slither in and out in secrecy (privacy in America only applies to AIDS and abortion). The “medical procedure” is explained in euphemistic language to those interested in this. How money is earned selling the parts of aborted fetuses is taboo and no MSM addresses this. How many women do have complications after an abortion is also not talked about. When people are collectively and willfully ignorant of a subject such as abortion, it is because they know there is a conflict with ones conscience and morality.
The Germans hid away concentration camps for a reason, yet many people knew, and of course it was taboo to question...
People simply go along with it because the abortion industry (it’s always about money at some level), and the philosophical / ideological movements behind it (world over population, climate change, feminism, a modern flavor of eugenics) have managed to make this issue about something else in the eyes of the public, i.e. freedom.
Just like society has perverted the idea of privacy, which you no longer have; so have they twisted the idea of freedom to mean that someone can take the life of another and this is an exercise of ones rights.
Abortion is not only gross and immoral, it’s the definition of perverse.
