They seem to be concentrated in New York and Florida. I can't figure out why LAX didn't make the list. The place is the absolute pits where you have to schlep your luggage from the international arrival terminal to your connecting domestic flight with nothing more than a stupid shuttle bus to assist.

While the New York airports are bad, they aren't even in the same league of badness as LAX.

The most memorable part about Ft. Lauderdale, is the wholly inadequate number of electrical outlets to recharge your devices.

And Chicago O'Hare may be big and not well-organized, but at least it is not the crappy third world hellhole as found in crosstown Midway (MDY) airport, which is way too compact for the amount of traffic it carries.

Just my two cents worth.

Yeah, LAX SUCKS if you’re going from the international terminal to domestic or vice versa. You need at least a one hour layover to make the transition. And the workers are always sitting around, but there’s always construction.

JFK, by comparison, wasn’t as bad.

DFW?? Easy to get around using Skylink. 9 minutes Max to get to the farthest terminal. 18 if you go the wrong way, but read the map.

Atlanta not being on the list is noticeable.

Yeah, DFW seems to be a strange outlier in that list.

Not sure what criteria they used but I’m surprised Atlanta Hartsfield was left out.

I never had an issue at Denver. The airport works well with the underground trams to go from terminal to terminal.

I might be wrong but I don't recall stairs - it was all escalators and elevators.

The pickup and dropoff areas were quite large too.

Chicago ORD is FAR worse than any in FL.
LAX is the worst.
San Diego is in real trouble in 20 years unless they move it.

Neither JFK or LGA is as bad as EWR which, in turn, is not even in the same league as LAX when it comes to third world awful. I'd even rank LGA as mediocre given the volume of traffic that it handles.

I'm genuinely wondering if WSJ oversampled people who use the New York area airports, because I find the worst of the three (EWR) as merely sub-par mediocre.

DFW sucks. AA flight to a destination leaves of of Terminal A then comes back to terminal C. Then you ride the stupid train. They close all exits from a terminal after 9 except for 1. Guarantee you walk forever and have to take the train.

It’s a study in inefficency. BTW, I have 1.5 M miles on AA flying out of DFW.
Also, from land time to getting in car and out of the ariport is probably 25-40 minutes——WASTED.

Simple changes could fix this, but they don’t care.

Before 9/11 Newark was one of the best airports. Now, even with the shuttle to Newark Penn Station it’s a PITA getting in and out of there. Traffic at LaGuardia was always a mess even though they finally put in exit and entrance ramps directly off the Grand Central Pkwy.

I live about 30 minutes south of Newark airport and have used it for business and fun trips for 35 years
It’s a great airport and constantly being modernized.
I don’t understand this article at all
