Something I did not know and I suspect many do not know, but it is NOT the National Guard at the Southern border but the state of Texas's own military! Texas has a military branch not connected with the Federal Government.

You say “most” but I disagree. The Democrats (like Republicans) only have around 30% hardcore support. The rest are more Democrat or Republican because that was what their family were and never bothered to change. Then there is the mushy middle that latches on to one cause or the other and will support which ever side sounds good to them at the time.
The Democrats are losing on this issue. The longer it goes on the worse it is for them. The use of force would be counter productive (but then Biden or his handlers might not care) and it would turn the mushy middle against the administration as well as ending in the impeachment of both Biden and Harris.

Military standards come and go depending on the current needs and they frequently change but the state militia is tiny and stable and probably doesn’t need that sort of marketplace adaptations.

I think it would be wise to proactively process the paperwork so that any Texan National Guard member could transfer to the State Guard simply by voice agreement. No loss of rank or time in service. Also designate the area between razor wire row one and razor wire two as free fire zones.

would you have believed it? Or would you have called them a “wacko conspiracy theorist”? I have a very vivid imagination coupled with an inherent distrust of big government... but I couldn’t have even imagined what we’re witnessing daily. I also had a lot more trust in the ability of the American people to choose wisely back then. And then they elected Obama.

Now are any of those troops national guard that are at the border? I don’t know but I do know Texas has their own military. It’s mainly used for disasters in the past, but I guess this qualifies as a disaster too.
