Well, that was the generic media propaganda line at the time.
And no, I was fully supporting Ukraine at that time.
In fact, I'm still supporting the Ukraine.
It's been 100% obvious for over a year that the situation in Ukraine was lost and that the only course of action was to get a negotiated settlement ASAP while Ukrainian support was still high and the Ukraine was in as strong a negotiating position as possible.
That was not done and now Ukraine has diminishing support, the US and NATO have run out of weapons and money to send and the situation in Ukraine is rapidly deteriorating. The only saving grace that the Ukraine has is the fact that Russia does not seem to wish to take more territory than it already has and does not currently wish to overrun the entire country.
