This kind of rhetoric conjures up images of George Bush standing on the ashes of the WTC. My point is at the time it sounds great and motivates people, but if ramping up a conflict to the point that it eventually requires invading another country and trying to occupy it, then I’d rather Trump just be strong and silent. Instead of fiery rhetoric, I’d like a firm consistent does of restrained Realpolitik in my national security policy.
For every gallon of enemy blood that US military spills, the US military spills a swimming pool of humiliation.
Fleeing out of Vietnam, the humiliation of Afghanistan, even the ragtag militia humiliated the US Navy.
How about we stop sending money to Iran and enemy regimes. It worked during Trump’s term.
