During an appearance on this week’s “Fox News Sunday broadcast,” Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) pushed back against critics of his efforts to secure a deal on a border security package.
The Oklahoma Senator said the language of the bill had not been finalized and attributed speculation to “Internet rumors.”
“The challenge that Senator Cruz has and a bunch of other folks is they’re so waiting to be able to read the bill on this and this has been our great challenge of being able to fight through the final words to be able to get the bill text out so people can hear it,” Lankford said. “Right now, there’s Internet rumors. It’s all that people are running. It would be absolutely absurd for me to agree to 5,000 people a day. This bill focuses on getting us to zero illegal crossings a day. There’s no amnesty. It increases a number of Border Patrol agents and it increases asylum officers. It increases detention beds so we can quickly detain and then deport individuals.”

No, the bull$hit provisions in the bill are...because we know they’re just trying to get money for friggin Ukraine and its Olive God.
Both Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell are FOR amnesty and for as much illegal immigration as possible (see 2006, 2007, 2013-2014 immigration bills). We know that no REAL immigration bill (i.e. stop the flow and deport illegals) will EVER get out of the Senate with them in leadership.

The bill actually limits a presidents ability to declare a border emergency. It would maintain thousands a day crossing preventing a president from closing the border off.
The lie is while it says the president can declare an emergency after a trigger of a certain amount it prevents the sitting president from limiting the amount below an insanely high 8500 a day!

What is the point of passing a new law if the administration feels free to ignore the current law?

If Biden says he’ll sigh the bill today and close the border tomorrow shows that the bill is 100% election cover. The only deal Republicans should accept is a complete moratorium on immigration for 50 years, total deportation of every illegal alien and turning the top third of Mexico into a demilitarized zone.

The liar is trying to have us presume that we are committing a wrong by speculating on what he and McConnell are trying to keep out of sight, that speculation on a bill have never been done before.

Does Langford actually think we believe what he is selling? And after Biden said he would sign it today? We all know what Biden’s agenda is and it’s not closing the border!

Oh yes. That is one way to eliminate illegal crossings. Making illegal crossings legal doesn’t cure the problem.
Well, I think I trust Ted Cruz more than I trust Lankford so I’m going with Ted. If he says the bill allows for 5,000 illegals a day then I’m guessing he’s correct.
