At the very least there should be an investigation as to what and where it happened, otherwise we could just be creating another another Gulf of Tonkin war scenario. If it happened in Syria where the US is illegibly occupying Syrian territory then the act of self defense is illegal in itself. Hence, that's why they want the incident to be inside Jordan at Tower 22.
