Charles is not a lucky name for English monarchs. Of the last two, the first was beheaded and the second forced to flee.

The second one wasn’t forced to flee, he died, and his brother took over — and his brother was forced to flee by “The Glorious Revolution” which resulted in the joint reign of William III (and II of Scotland) and Mary II.

No, Charles II had a good time as king. People got to party again after the dour Commonwealth. It was his brother, James II, who succeeded him who ran away.

Charles II did flee, but then returned and reigned for 25 years after the restoration.

I have to wonder if the previous queen ever had that notion in mind from time to time?
