WASHINGTON — Aides have President Joe Biden take the shorter stairs to board Air Force One. When it comes to news conferences, they yell loudly — and quickly — to end the questions, sometimes stealing a classic awards show tactic and playing loud music to signal the conclusion of the event. And forget about regular interviews with major news publications, including a traditional presidential sit-down on Super Bowl Sunday.
Over the years, some of Biden’s key aides have gone from letting “Joe be Joe” to wrapping a presidential cocoon around him that is intended to shield him from verbal slips and physical stumbles.
All presidents are shielded by the strictures of the office, yet for Biden, who at 81 is the oldest person in history to hold the job, the decision is not only situational but strategic, according to several people who are familiar with the dynamic. The cloistered nature of his White House reflects a concern among some of his top aides that Biden, who has always been prone to gaffes, risks making a mistake.
Those risks were revealed in striking ways during the events that unfolded this past week.
After a special counsel’s report on Biden’s handling of classified documents was published Thursday, the president was furious with how he was portrayed, viewing the report as a partisan and personal attack that included one of the most gutting experiences of his life — his son Beau’s death.

The first step will be to find a candidate with Biden’s malleable Play-dough mental state — and Hussein O’Burka will have to sign off on his replacement before the extraction can begin. Neither of those is likely.
A simple assassination rigged to look “natural” sounds like a clever solution but it’ll be too obvious, and send the ‘rats into a nasty hot civil war.

It’s not Biden’s age by itself that is the problem. Plenty of very old people are mentally sharp. With Biden, it’s lack of mental acuity combined with life-long bad character.
Biden was a lying idiot to begin with. Stood 76/85 in his class at a mediocre law school, convinced his union buds who controlled newspaper distribution in Delaware to stop delivery of an issue the day before his first Senate election which had a front page article on his corruption, slandered the truck driver as drunk who his first wife pulled out in front of, and constantly touts “ma son Beau” who died a civilian at 47 as Alexander the Great. A first class, low class liar who would embarrass Baron Munchausen.

Nope. Don’t get your hopes up. Biden is not going anywhere. This blows over in 2 weeks. This is the NYT’s attempt to remain credible. They are just (temporarily) reporting the obvious.
