That sort of stuff doesn’t sound like the stock an illegal arms dealer would have. Maybe he is some rich dude with a felony conviction of some white-collar crime years ago? Although other comments make it sound like a lousy area to live in, so maybe he is a “real” criminal.
IMHO, if anybody is deemed okay to be out in public and not in prison, then they should also be deemed to be okay to have guns and vote. If not, keep them locked up.
