Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced Friday a plan to build a military base camp in Eagle Pass that will house National Guard troops tasked with responding to what he refers to as “President Joe Biden’s border crisis.”
The base camp will be built on 80 acres of land in Eagle Pass and accommodate up to 1,800 Texas National Guard members, with room for an additional 500, to bolster the state’s border security capabilities.
“This will increase the ability for a larger number of Texas Military Department soldiers in Eagle Pass to operate more effectively and efficiently,” Mr. Abbott said at a press conference. The Republican governor said that the base camp, called “Forward Operating Base,” would “dramatically improve” living conditions for soldiers deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Texas would not be able to respond to President Biden’s border crisis without the brave men and women of the Texas National Guard, and it is essential to build this base camp for them,” he added.

Texas will have Zero Illegal Immigrants. “
Wishful thinking, l wish that was going to be true. Abbott has finally grew a pair. 3 years and millions of illegals late but ok. Meanwhile that rino Perry is campaigning for that rat mole Phelan who is speaker of the Texas House.

The new military base camp is for the Texas NG, not the Texas Guard? I will repeat my question. Can Biden “nationalize” them without Abbot’s OK?
It’s way past time. Our border should be a weapons free zone.
From a political point of view, the Biden puppetmasters probably know that over half the governors back Abbott, at least so far. When Eisenhower nationalized the Arkansas NG in 1957, Faubus the AR gov did not the support Abbot has. But dems will try to do horrible things if they think they can get away with it.
So far they have left it alone, but we are talking about a regime that bragged publicly about paying Ukraine pensions.
