MOSCOW/VILNIUS, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Russian police have put Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, Lithuania's culture minister, and members of the previous Latvian parliament on a wanted list for destroying Soviet-era monuments, according to the Russian interior ministry's database. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Kallas was wanted for the "desecration of historical memory". Russian state agency TASS said the Baltic officials were accused of "destroying monuments to Soviet soldiers", acts that are punishable by a five-year prison term under the Russian criminal code. *snip* The Baltic governments regard the monuments as propaganda tools constructed by their former imperial overlords. "The Kremlin now hopes this move will help to silence me and others – but it won't," Kallas said in a post on social media platform X. "I will continue my strong support to Ukraine. I will continue to stand for increasing Europe's defence."

Seattle better not destroy the Lenin statue.

Then again... I think Seattle would deploy every resource to protect that statue.

... to be added to the best entertainment since Paul Shanklin parodies, ping me bro.

Yes, opposing murder, terrorism, tyrannical oppression, etc. are real knee slappers. So amusing!

Historical statues, have been, and are being OFFICIALLY removed by our government and I bet none of you zeepers said a peep.

Commemorating murderous regimes like the Soviet Union?

I wish Biden cared as much about preserving our country’s heritage as Putin cares about preserving Russia’s.

The Soviet Union should be remembered as a time of oppression, not heritage, for Russia.

Estonia's Museum of Occupations has exhibits dedicated to the Nazi and Soviet occupations. Folks wanting to see Red Army monuments are welcome to visit.

Russia is a good place to preserve Russia's heritage.

Estonia not obligated to do so on Russia's behalf.

The slaughter of innocent people and the destruction of fertile land is not what we find amusing...far from it.

What we find amusing is the torturous thinking of people who don’t care if their country, America, is brought to her knees in order to fund a money laundering operation, and their nonsensical attempts to defend that position.

“Commemorating murderous regimes like the Soviet Union?”

I don’t know of any statues that were officially removed in this country that commemorated the USSR.

Here’s a list that was last updated on Aug. 28, 2020: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/2020-next-wave-statue-removals-afoot-map-n1230506

“The Soviet Union should be remembered as a time of oppression, not heritage, for Russia.”

I agree, however a Russian may have a differing opinion.

From the article: “The Baltic politicians risk being placed under arrest if they cross the Russian border, but otherwise declaring them as “wanted” is unlikely to have any practical consequence.”

In other words, no big deal.

She’s basically a YAPPING POODLE, knowing that there’s a German Shepherd (the US) to keep Russia from dealing with her.

...but now the bitch has to ALWAYS look over her shoulder when leaving her tiny country, as she better not land in a country that will enforce her warrant.

Russia puts Estonia prime minister on wanted list for destroying Soviet monuments

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, I think that it is logical that Europe does what Russia does when it comes to the elimination of monuments...
Why should only Russia be allowed to???

Eliminating any monuments of Stalin / Sovietism / Hitler in all of Europe should be the law. It would be an act of Christian decency. What on earth can be more just and right than that?

Especially after reading this article:

THE DESTRUCTION OF UKRAINIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE DURING RUSSIA’S FULL-SCALE INVASION IN 2022
https://www.sciencespo.fr/ceri/fr/content/dossiersduceri/destruction-ukrainian-cultural-heritage-during-russia-s-full-scale-invasion-2022

However, in order to remember the horrors of history, those dismantled Soviet monuments could be preserved in a dedicated museum of horrors. I’m not for totally destroying them. We need them to remember the nightmares of the past, so we dont get lazy in our lust for defending our homes and families from any further Russian agressions.
