No less but no more. Just as an atheist or agnostic or irreligious secular American accepts that itโ€™s wrong to steal and murder and cheat, they can accept that man has an inherent right to speak freely and the right to defend himself, his family, and his property.

I'm grateful for those individuals that hold to their God-given conscience without acknowledging Him, but really that is irrational given their own presuppositions. If there is no transcendent mind outside the universe, with authority over the universe, with a will that defines right and wrong, then there is no source for a moral standard that has any authority over us. I can do what I want and all people can say in opposition is an expression of self-righteousness as they attempt to shove their own morality down my throat.
